Nikki had a birthday!

I can't believe it has been two years since I had Nicole!  Why is time moving so fast?  I really wish we just had a pause button.  We didn't do anything super exciting for her birthday.  Poor thing, but we did start the morning out with presents.  She still isn't quite sure what to do with them.  Then later that night my sister in law and nieces and nephews came over to eat some cake with us.

Nikki is a spunky little girl who definitely knows what she does and doesn't want.  Sometimes it is cute....others, not so much.  She has SO much personality at such a little age.  Hopefully we can help channel it in a good way!  She loves her sisters, Mom and Dad, and the Ipad/pod.  This girl is obsessed.  Honestly when I can't find her I usually don't worry she is in trouble because 99% of the time she has found some sort of electronic toy and is playing.  She wants to always be doing what her sisters are doing.  She will not be left out.  I just found out the other day that she knows most of her letters and sounds thanks to Leapfrog letter factory! :)

We love our Nikki and are so glad she is a part of our family!  Happy Birthday baby girl!

Her two year stats:

Weight:  22 Ibs, 2.93%  (I don't know how this girl is so small she eats like a horse!)
Height:  32.5 in, 18%
Head:  45 cm, 8%

Eyeing all the gifts at breakfast.

I thought a baby doll would help her with the adjustment to baby brother.

Birthday outfit.
She for some reason LOVES Donald.  This is the only one I could find.

She was pretty excited about Donald and the stroller.

Whitney being a goofball while waiting to help me decorate the cupcakes.

She kept blowing out the match before we could light her candles, silly girl.

The party!

Daddy had to finally go light the candles inside.

Yay!

This is the face we get if we ask her to show us her happy face.

This was after just one cupcake...she had four....it was her birthday I couldn't say no.  :)

Kindergarten!

So, when did I get so old?  I can't believe my baby started Kindergarten!!!  It was definitely bitter sweet.  She was very ready and really, so was I, BUT, this is the start of the next 13 years!!!  It was much more difficult than taking her to preschool.  Thank goodness there were a few kids in her class from church whose mom's were there otherwise I may have lost it.  There were a few tears shed on my part but I did pretty good, especially considering my very pregnant state.  So far she likes it but she doesn't really talk a lot about it.  I have to pry it out of her of what she did at school that day, weird considering she is my talker.

It is nice being on a better schedule in the mornings and it has been fun to spend more time with Whitney and Nikki in the mornings.  Whitney really opens up and she and Nikki are becoming better friends, they tend to fight the most.  So I am excited to see what else this first year brings!

First day!  I almost forgot to take pictures so we rushed these but we made it in time...barely.

Goofy smile, but she is showing off her backpack.

Whitney needed in on the action.

So did Nikki.

Waiting in line.
Nikki thought she should join too.

Preschool graduate

Well, better late than never right?  Morgan graduated from preschool.  She went two days a week at St. Luke's Little School, for four hours.  She really enjoyed it.  She was able to take her lunch each time and thought that was fun.  I thought it was a good school, but I think with Whitney I may try and do an in home preschool.

Ready to go

Waiting for her walk

I love that I caught her waving

Yay!
