Picture OVERLOAD!!!

It has been a while since I posted anything and instead of doing separate posts I am just going to lump them all together for you! It has been a busy couple of weeks so there are LOTS of photos for your viewing pleasure! :) haha There are a lot of similar pictures mostly for me and the Grandparents!

Morgan wanted a picture during the photo shoot as well.

We watched my brothers kids during one session of conference (they went downtown to feed the homeless. I guess their ward does it every other Sunday, what a fun idea!) Anyway, I would like to brag and say they are really watching conference but this was after conference was over and they were watching Cars. By the way what I saw of conference was great, I am not going to lie it was hard to watch this year with Morgan all over the place. I am excited to read the talks though. Note to self: RENEW ENSIGN SUBSCRIPTION!

I have been watching my friends daughter and I let her and Morgan go outside and play with the sidewalk chalk and this is what they looked like after they were done.

Can you see the blue in her hair?

Nice

I stuck them right in the tub after this, it was pretty darn funny though!

I try and have one thing planned for them to do a day so they don't get bored and this day we found these fairy wings at the dollar store and the hats at Goodwill, what a steal huh!

Two cute girls. Everyday Malorie comes to our house and Morgan is still asleep when she gets here. As soon as she wakes up and see's what Malorie is wearing she automatically says that is what she wants to wear. (Usually it is a dress, so we have two little girly girls on our hands)

There were to many cute pictures not to post most of them sorry!

We had a new couple move into our ward and she is this amazing coupon lady and so she has been trying to teach me. This was my first great deal. All of these fruit snacks were FREE, say it with me people WAHOO!!! Not that I really NEED twenty bags of fruit snacks but hey, they were free!!! After this she had some coupons for Kraft dressing and we each got five FREE dressings! Thanks Mel! I can't wait to learn more!

I just wanted to see if I could get a hair bow to fit into Whitney's hair, it did but looked a little funny. She is getting so fun! She is so smiley and started laughing last week! She will be three months old on Sunday! Time is FLYING by!!!

What a cheeser. :)

We went to Utah for Easter to see Jeff's family. While we were there his Mom took me and the girls out for a pedicure (me) and manicure (me and Morgan). Morgan didn't understand how to show us her fingernails so I had to hold her fingers for her. Silly girl.

This is her trying to show us her nails.

Grandma and Morgan dying Easter eggs.

They both had so much fun!

The eggs....

The mess!!!

This is where Morgans Easter basket was hiding.

Morgan after she found it.

She was so excited!

Wahoo!!!

Whitney with her Easter basket.

The loot! Can you guess whose is whose?!? Jeff is a bum can I just say? I bought him this giant bag of skittles and I was so excited about it and when he was buying my peeps for my basket he found a bag to and had to buy it (he was just as excited as I was). EVERYTIME I get him something I am excited to give him he finds one for himself....grrr....

One happy girl!

This is a picture of Morgan on her first Easter in this AWESOME bunny suit! haha Jeff hates it but I had to have it. Anyway here is Whitney in it on her first Easter...

We couldn't get a great shot of Morgan in her Easter dress. I made both hers and Whitney's. I just used the same pattern from her Halloween costume and made my own pattern for the sleeves because I didn't want big puffy sleeves for her. For Whitney's I just traced a dress that she already had onto the material and made another pattern for her sleeves. I was pretty pleased, there are a few things I wish I would have fixed, oh well maybe next year!

I love the look Morgan is giving Whitney it cracks me up!

This is the part I am most proud of!!! I figured out how to make button holes with my sewing machine!!! WAHOO!!! I am so impressed with myself! ha (Is that bad to say??) It took me a while to figure it out but I did it!

Daddy and his little princess's.

Grandma Great (Wirig), Grandma Sucher, and the girls.

Grandma and Grandpa Wirig with the girls.

Jeff's Aunt's did an Easter egg hunt after Easter dinner and it was SO fun! They had tons of eggs for all of the kids and they made these cute Easter bags out of fleece! (I had no idea they were doing an egg hunt or else I wouldn't have had one for her in the morning. Oh well, good times were had)

Haha, the bag was to heavy for her so she put it around her neck, funny girl. Look at that CAUUUTE bag! Thanks everyone for making it a great Easter! I know both Jeff and I are so grateful for the Atonement in our lives and hopefully we will be able to teach our girls to have a testimony of it in their lives!

I saw on my friends blog that she made homemade fingerpaint. Who knew! SO, I decided we would give it a whirl and they loved it, we did it two days in a row! Here is the recipe I used:

Original Fingerpaint

Ingredientsfinger paint hand print from child craft

1/2 cup cornstarch
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups cold water
food coloring

Directions

In a medium pan, mix all the ingredients together to make the finger paint. Cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes. Keep stirring the finger paint mixture until it is smooth and thick. After the finger paint has thickened take the pan off the stove and let the mixture cool.

After cooling, divide the finger paint into storage containers depending on how many colors you would like. Add a few drops of food coloring to each container. Stir the coloring in to the paint to determine the shade of color. You're ready to finger paint! Cover tightly when storing.

(Thanks Noelle!)

I made these cake balls for a book club we just had. (By the way we read the book, "Left to Tell" it was probably the BEST book and most life changing book (besides the Book of Mormon obviously) that I have ever read! Highly HIGHLY recommend it!) I thought they were pretty good, but then I froze them and they were MUCH better (good idea Nat!) Anyway, this one is a frozen one and doesn't look great but I may just make these in the future. The recipe was from bakerella.blogspot.com.

THESE little babies were AAAAMMMMAAAZZZZIIINNNGGG!!! I saw this on someones blog about making homemade marshmallows and making them in the shape of an egg they covering them in chocolate! YUM!!! First I LOVE marshmallows (did you see my peep Easter basket?) and second so do my in-laws so I thought it would be a fun treat to take to Utah to share. Anyway here is the recipe they had:

Marshmallows Recipe
3 envelopes of Knox gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cups corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Powdered sugar for dredging

In the bowl of an electric mixer (preferably a stand mixer), sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water. Soak for 10 minutes. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil hard for 1 minute. Pour boiling syrup into gelatin and mix at high speed. Add the salt and beat for 12 minutes. Add vanilla and incorporate into mixture. Brush your spatula with oil and scrape the mixture onto a sheet pan lined with foil brushed with oil and spread evenly. Cover with another piece of foil brushed with oil.

Let mixture sit for a few hours. Remove from pan, dredge the marshmallow slab with confectioners’ sugar and cut into equal pieces with a chef’s knife. Dredge each piece of marshmallow in powdered sugar or dip in chocolate.

(For the the eggs I put flour in a few different pans and made an indent with a real egg then just dropped the marshmallow cream in each mold)

SOOOO Yummy! I am not kidding, you need to try this! Here is the web-site I got the idea from: http://rootsandwingsco.blogspot.com/2009/03/choc-coved-marshmallow-eggs.html

Well, if you made it through this post congratulations! :) We have been having lots of fun as you can see. I will try and post more regularly so you don't get overloaded like this again! Happy Friday!
